Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District was established in 1955 as one of the first park and recreation districts in the State of Colorado. Today, Hyland Hills serves nearly 130,000 residents in a 24 square mile area in southwest Adams County that includes the City of Federal Heights and parts of Westminster, Arvada, Northglenn, Thornton and unincorporated Adams County.

The vision of Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District is to provide an improved quality of life to residents and the surrounding community through its recreation programs, local parks and entertainment facilities.
Mission Statement:
Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District provides first-class parks, open spaces, facilities, and recreation programs that enrich and promote a healthy lifestyle, create memorable experiences, and build relationships between the District and its community while valuing equity and inclusion.
Hyland Hills offers world-class facilities including:
- Water World, the first and largest waterpark in Colorado and one of the largest in the United States
- The nationally acclaimed Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills
- The Ice Centre at the Promenade, located at the Westminster Promenade (a joint endeavor with the City of Westminster)
- Adventure Golf and Raceway
- The Donald E. VanArsdale Gymnastics Center at the Hyland Hills Sports Center
- Hyland Hills Fitness Center, a full-service fitness facility
In addition, Hyland Hills maintains 19 parks across 375 acres, 24 sports fields, 2 outdoor pools, 2 disc golf courses, a skate park, 2 fitness/sports centers, 2 community centers, a community garden, and a pickleball complex.
Hyland Hills further provides a wide variety of special events and recreational programs, swimming lessons, sports leagues, sports camps, cultural art programs and much more at an amazingly affordable cost.
The Hyland Hills Foundation has given hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to children living in the District to ensure that no child will be unable to participate in District activities due to financial constraints.
Hyland Hills continually strives to provide the best possible facilities at affordable prices to all of its residents and guests. Our goal is to constantly provide outstanding and affordable recreational facilities and programs to its residents and guests.
